What to Expect
How long is a Suncook UMC Service?
In total, a Suncook service is about 60 minutes in length. To get a detailed look at the order of worship, check out a bulletin from a previous Sunday by clicking here.
What’s the culture like at Suncook UMC?
Suncook embodies the diverse journeys God has led us on to bring us where we are today. As the Apostle Paul writes in 1 Cor. 12:12, “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.” With this heart, we welcome you to come as you are, dressed however you feel comfortable to worship.
What about my kids?
Children of all ages are joyfully welcomed at Suncook. During our worship, children will be invited to a time for Sunday School led by our Sunday School teachers in the Fellowship Hall during the adult message. The two exceptions are on the first Sunday of the month when all ages worship together to celebrate communion, and the final Sunday of the month when the children are at Sunday School from the beginning of service until the end.
For parents of young infants who wish to remain upstairs, the attached parlor is opened up with books and toys so that parents and children can comfortably worship while moving around.
How often is the Lord’s Supper celebrated?
Communion is shared the first Sunday of every month, and may be offered on additional holy days. You do not have to be a member of our church or a Methodist to receive communion. As this is Christ’s table, it is open to anyone who longs to live in response to Jesus’ gift of grace and love.
